Good day Volunteers, Donors and Friends of DFMI, It has been a busy 2021 so far, especially in light of the COVID epidemic still impacting the globe. The world keeps turning, though, mothers keep delivering and babies keep coming. Our projects, old and new, keep challenging and surprising us with exceptional results all around the Dominican Republic. After almost 2 years of online calls and daily chat communications, I have finally returned, in person, to the Dominican Republic and am visiting many of the hospitals and clinic programs that DOFMI supports. Every day of my current trip has been filled with meeting the wonderful clinical and administrative personnel working tirelessly to improve the lives and health of the women and infants regardless of nationality, regardless of ethnicity and regardless of economic status. Within the near future, we expect to have Kangaroo Care and infant respiratory support (CPAP) at Hospital La Paix in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I am excited to invite you to our annual fundraising event on Wednesday, November 10. The invitation below has all of the details (note the recent changes to location and date/time).
